We got the first bit of info on BMW’s super-hot M3 – the BMW M3 GTS – back in November. We get a few facts, such as a likely cost of £100k plus, 450bhp and only available in the Tango version. But now we get official detail from BMW, although we still don’t get a BMW M3 GTS price for the UK.

The launch of McLaren Automotive and the McLaren MP4-12C has been a bit of a roller coaster ride for Ron Dennis and McLaren. The reviews of the MP4-12C were overwhelmingly positive – with a few small caveats – and the press, on the whole, loved that McLaren were taking on the might of Ferrari with a car that truly was its match. The UK’s car production jumped by 12% last month as demand from Europe for British-built cars increases. Nearly 80% of cars made in the UK are exported worldwide, and 142,158 were produced in March 2014 – compared to 126,909 in March 2013. Official: UK car production is booming
